The ladies of Wichita Falls Baptist Church meet once a month for a special Bible study just for women. For the last several meetings we have been looking at the names of God and what they mean to us as believers. Names in Biblical times revealed a person’s character. God’s names reflect His attributes and His nature.
Jehovah-M’Kaddesh tells us that God is the Holy, unchangeable One Who sanctifies us and sets us apart for Himself and His service. El-Roi is a name of God that should be of special comfort to us. It means God-who-sees. Nothing is unknown to God. He sees and knows our every secret hurt and desire.
In addition to our Bible study, we discuss issues specific to Christian women, and also enjoy a special time of fellowship and food. The next LIGHT meeting is scheduled for Saturday, March 19th, 10am to noon. All ladies, members and visitors, are invited to attend.
