Membership in a local New Testament church is the responsibility and privilege of every believer. At WFBC we view it as an opportunity for believers to serve Christ and submit to the body. The Bible never pictures the life of a thriving believer as an island or a solitary unit. Rather, growing saints in Scripture are part of a local gathering. We need one another for encouragement, growth, and accountability.
Membership in Wichita Falls Baptist Church is predicated upon a common belief in biblical doctrine, moral principle, and practice. Members are received by congregational vote after having presented a testimony of salvation, baptism by immersion following their conversion, and agreement with the constitution.
