Truth Trackers end year bash 2011

WFBC has been blessed to put on Truth Trackers for six years now. Truth Trackers disciples children in the word of God that puts the cookies on a shelf they can reach but is uncompromising with regard to the word of God.

Over the past couple of years, we have had young adults helping our TT Leaders who have given our program an passion and enthusiasm for God and his word especially because they have invested themselves wholesale for the sake of God in the lives of the kids. The last two years, Tyler Pond has fit that bill. This past year, Andrew Pond and his wife Alicia blessed our ministry at a vital time by taking the two older groups, Scripture Spies and Faith Force upon their shoulders.

At the end of the last two years, Tyler allowed himself to become, first, an egg target and then a living Peanut Butter Sandwich. Not to be out done, Drew let himself become a living ‘Smore! Far beyond the fun the kids and leaders had on this night and all the others are the rich blessings that will bear fruit in years to come for all the kids who have invested so much in studying God and his word!

In 2011 America, what does the resurrection matter?

With increasing frequency, the word of God is being challenged. Did Jesus really say what he said about Hell? Does God’s word really mean what it says?

Bottom line, yes. God’s word, like God, does not change with the culture or with the whim of man. That’s why the Church must understand the most pivotal event in history, the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

On Easter, Pastor Counterman challenged WFBC with the significance of the resurrection from 1 Corinthians 15. Let me invite you to open the pages of your Bible to that passage and here what God has to say to us about the resurrection.

While man may not have intended it, God and his perfect timing brought Pastor Counterman and our deacon, Keith Pond, to preach to the church on the same topic this past week.
