After receiving eternal life in Christ, a new believer must grow in his relationship with the Lord. Discipleship is an intentional process by which spiritual growth is fostered and nurtured.
At Wichita Falls Baptist Church discipleship is taking place on three levels.
First, discipleship takes place during the main services of the church. A believer can benefit from God’s Word being taught verse by verse from a teacher who puts many hours into the message.
Second, discipleship takes place during our small group Bible studies L.I.G.H.T. Studies, P.O.W.E.R. Studies, and New Believer’s Bible Study. During these times, a person is able to be involved in group discussion and fellowship with other believers.
Third, discipleship takes place in one-on-one relationships. Anyone desiring to meet with another mature believer is connected with a spiritual mentor who will help him in his relationship with the Lord.
